Sean O’Sullivan wins Pluto TV Snooker 900 event
Congratulations to Sean O’Sullivan, proudly sponsored by Wytech, on recently winning a Snooker 900 event.
The Snooker 900 is a fast-paced, 15-minute (900-second) snooker format. Unlike a traditional game of snooker, it features a 20-second shot clock, ball-in-hand for fouls, and a sudden-death blue-ball shootout to resolve tied frames.
Week 19 of the Snooker 900 consisted of 6 players competing in a group format, with the top 2 in the group at the end of the week qualifying for the final to determine the week’s winner. Matches were best of 5 with points secured for every frame won and every century break made.
Over the course of the event, Sean made a fantastic 135 break and won a total of 13 frames, meaning he topped the group with 14 points and secured his place in the final against Andrew Norman.
The final, which was best of 9 frames, started close with Sean and Andrew going frome for frame to get to 3-3. However, hit his second century of the week with a 100 clearance to go ahead 4-3 and went on to win the 8th and final frame to claim the weekly title, taking both the top league prize and the winner’s cheque.
I was delighted with how the Snooker 900 event went. I didn’t feel I played my best throughout the tournament, but I made some important breaks and clearances at crucial times, including a nice 135. I was most pleased with how I finished the final, making two big breaks when it really mattered to get over the line and win.
It’s an exciting format, really enjoyable and a brilliant opportunity for amateurs to compete, get exposure on TV and earn decent money over 3 days of play.

Passion for the sport
The passion for cuesports runs deep within the veins of many of the Wytech team, making our support for the sport and its players even more meaningful.
Our MD, Mark, has a lifelong love of the sport from childhood and continues to compete at a variety of pool and snooker events. He has shared this passion with his daughter, Hannah, our marketing guru.
Hannah has played on the World Women’s Snooker circuit since she was 9 years old. She has won a variety of titles on her cuesports journey, including World Ladies Junior Champions 6 consecutive times. Wytech has proudly sponsored Hannah for many years and continues to support her journey.
Our Technology Ambassador, Marcus, is also an avid cuesports player. His journey started at age 8 and continues today as he looks forward to April 2026 for his Ultimate Pool Seniors Tour Debut.
